An evil version of the Titans ambushes a good version of the Hive kids. Jinx has that ‘dawning revelation’ look. She’s probably just realizing that they always lose because they’re outnumbered.

Robin & Starfire - After witnessing the murder of his parents, a young Robin found his outlooks on life permanently twisted to the worst. Despite the efforts of those who raised and trained him, the boy refused to see the good in other people and therefor found no need to use his gifts for their sake. A self-centered sociopath, he is essentially a hedonist at heart. Discovering early in life the thrill of power, of using his gifts to others disadvantage, Robin found himself thwarted constantly by more experienced Super Heroes. He founds the Titans as a way of fighting back.
Starfire had the misfortune of being born to a planet under siege by invaders. The child was given to their attackers as a peace offering, sold into a life of slavery for the safety of her people. Starfire never forgave them. After long years of hardship, she escaped her masters and fled into the reaches of space, eventually landing on Earth where she met Robin. Seeing in him a kindred spirit, someone who shared her distrust and hatred for others, she accepted his offer for revenge on the worlds that had wronged them and took her place at his side.
The lovers care about very little now aside from each other, and lead the Titans with frightening savagery.

Cyborg - After the accident that left him a half-robot monster, Victor Stone was left to the ridicule of a world too cruel to accept him as human. Driven out of society, he took refuged in a dump, where he could at least find the parts needed to keep himself in repair. It was here he met Beast Boy, an outcast not unlike himself, and formed a wary friendship. Years later, Robin came across the cyborg and saw the potential in him. Cyborg gladly accepted the invitation to join his team and suggested Beast Boy as well.

Beast Boy - Gifted through mistakes of science with amazing shape-shifting abilities, Gar Logan soon found in himself his true nature. Nurtured by the many forms he could take, he realized that man is inherently weaker than all other animals and so submitted to his baser instincts. Taking a beastly form, he discarded society. Cyborg and the Titans have given him a chance to show the world just how inferior they are.

Raven - A lost and confused half-breed, Raven was nearly insane by the time her powers had matured enough to allow her father to take hold of her. Robin, having heard of the half-demon, tracked her down and with the Titans helped her defeat her father. Though her father was defeated, Raven’s human heritage had been effectively destroyed. Indebted to the Titans, she joined their team, where she now stays out of respect for their leader and the chance to use her powers.

Slade - Dark vigilante and long-time protector of Jump City, he is very unhappy with the Titans recent move into his territory. Finding the teens more a challenge than he thought, Slade has enlisted the help of the Hive kids, heroes in training, and Red X.

Red X - Once a normal boy who desperately wished to help his city, Red X got his chance when he managed to steal a prototype suit Robin had created for himself. Red X found training at Slade’s side and now works to rid Jump City of its new terrorists.

Blackfire - Always tormented by the memory of her sister’s unwilling sacrifice, Blackfire set out across the galaxy to find her lost sibling and make amends. After tracking Starfire to earth, Blackfire found her sister changed for the worst. Blackfire blames her family and herself for Starfire’s evil, and eventually teams up with Red X, hoping to find redemption for herself and her sister.
